The Village of Corrales has become so popular due to its rural lifestyle while being so close to the city. Residents enjoy the unique shops and restaurants and how close they are to the Rio Grande Bosque. It is common to see people on horseback or bicycling to take advantage of what the Bosque has to offer.
Homes are typically on larger lots with most being on 1 acre lots. There are a variety of homes in Corrales ranging from amazing old adobes to the latest contemporary styles.
The landscape also varies quite a bit even though Corrales is not that large. To the east of Corrales road is what I call the “green cottonwood section” that has many mature cottonwood trees, large sections of green grass and easy access to the Bosque.
The middle section between Corrales Road and Loma Larga Road also has many mature trees and still a feeling of being in a more green environment.
To the west of Loma Larga, is more of a traditional high desert environment that increase in height to provide many wonderful views of the Sandia Mountains.

When Susan and I first visited the Albuquerque area, we were enchanted when looking for homes for sale Corrales NM. We quickly got a sense for its agricultural roots and traditions, unique independent shops, its community events and rich history. Even though it is so close to Albuquerque, it feels so far away.
A fun tradition in the fall is people will flock to Wagner’s Farm to shop fall produce and get their green chili roasted. It smells amazing! Every Sunday in the spring through fall is a chance to shop local produce at the popular Corrales growers market. This has become a weekly event for us.
